Members of Action Gatineau from the electoral districts of Limbour, Touraine, Pointe-Gatineau, Carrefour-de-l’Hôpital, du Versant, Bellevue, Lac-Beauchamp and Rivière-Blanche met on June 6, 2018, in general assembly, to establish the first dialogue committee for the sector of Gatineau.
The idea of these committees took root when some members of the party expressed the desire of getting more involved in their community and of wanting to encourage public debate on the issues of concern to fellow residents from their sector of the city.
In light of this inclination, shown by some, to deepen their civic engagement, Action Gatineau’s Executive Committee approved, on March 17 of this year, the creation of four committees each representing the sectors of Aylmer, Hull, Gatineau and Buckingham—Masson-Angers. Members of the party gave their approval to this initiative at the last Annual General Assembly, which was held in May.
The party will proceed with the formation of the committees for each sector of the city in the coming months.
